Refund, Cancellations & Changes Policy

(Australian Consumer Law Compliant)

Refunds

Refunds will be provided in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
Clients may be entitled to a remedy (refund, partial refund, or alternative solution) if the service:

• is not delivered with acceptable care and skill
• is not delivered as agreed
• is significantly different from what was promised
• cannot be delivered due to issues caused by the provider

Refunds are not available for change of mind or client-initiated cancellation outside of consumer law obligations.

Deposits

Deposits are required to secure your event date and cover planning time, admin, and lost booking opportunities.
Deposits are generally non-refundable, except in cases where Australian Consumer Law requires a refund (e.g., if the provider cancels or cannot perform).

Client Cancellations

Cancellations must be made in writing.

• More than 60 days before the event: deposit retained, all other payments refunded.
• 60 days to 21 days before the event: 50% of the full quoted fee may be payable.
• Within 21 days of the event: full payment is required due to lost business and time reserved.

Provider Cancellations

If Conor Rae is unable to perform due to illness, emergency, or circumstances beyond control:

• A qualified replacement MC will be offered where possible
• If a replacement is not available, a refund will be provided for any services not delivered

Rescheduling

Clients may request a date change.

• Rescheduling is subject to availability
• Deposits may be transferred to a new date within 12 months
• If the new date is unavailable, cancellation terms apply

Changes to Event Details

All major event details should be confirmed at least 14 days before the event.

Significant changes (location, timings, scope of work) may incur additional fees.

Force Majeure

Neither party is liable for delays or cancellations caused by events outside their control, including illness, accidents, extreme weather, travel interruptions, emergencies, or government restrictions.
In such cases, both parties will work together to find the fairest solution.

Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to provide accurate information, communicate changes promptly, ensure safe working conditions, and allow reasonable access to the venue.
