Terms & Conditions

(Applicable to all services provided by Conor Rae)

These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings, enquiries, and services provided by Conor Rae. By booking or engaging services, the client agrees to these terms.

1. Definitions

“Client” refers to the person making the booking.
“Provider” refers to Conor Rae.
“Event” refers to any service booked, including weddings, corporate events, fundraisers, and private functions.

2. Booking Confirmation

A booking is confirmed once the required deposit is paid.
Payment of the deposit indicates acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

3. Payments

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure the date.
The remaining balance is due 14 days before the event unless otherwise agreed.

Late payments may result in cancellation of services.

4. Pricing

Quotes provided are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated.
Additional costs (travel, parking, accommodation, extended hours) may apply and will be communicated in advance.

5. Cancellations (Client)

All cancellations must be submitted in writing.

The following terms apply:
• More than 60 days before event: deposit retained, balance refunded
• 60–14 days before event: 50% of full fee may be payable
• Less than 14 days before event: full fee is payable

These terms do not override rights under Australian Consumer Law.

6. Cancellations (Provider)

If the provider is unable to perform due to illness, emergency, or circumstances beyond control:

• a replacement MC may be arranged where possible, or
• a refund will be issued for services not delivered

The provider is not liable for additional costs incurred by the client as a result of cancellation.

7. Rescheduling

A client may request to reschedule, subject to availability.
Deposits may transfer to a new date within 12 months.

If the new date is unavailable, cancellation terms apply.

8. Event Changes

Final event details must be confirmed at least 14 days before the event.
Significant changes (venue, timing, logistics) may incur additional fees.

9. Performance & Conduct

The provider will deliver services with professionalism, reliability, and appropriate conduct.

The client agrees to ensure:
• a safe environment
• respectful behaviour from guests
• access to the venue as required

If unsafe or inappropriate behaviour occurs, the provider may stop services without refund.

10. Force Majeure

Neither party is liable for delays or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond their control, including but not limited to:

• illness or injury
• extreme weather
• travel disruptions
• emergency situations
• government restrictions

Both parties will communicate promptly to find a reasonable solution.

11. Media Use

With client permission, photos or video taken during the event may be used for promotional purposes.
Clients may withdraw consent at any time in writing.

12. Client Responsibilities

The client agrees to:

• provide accurate event information
• communicate changes promptly
• ensure the venue is accessible
• confirm event run sheets or schedules
• ensure all vendors are briefed and coordinated appropriately

13. Liability

The provider is not responsible for:
• event delays caused by other vendors
• technical issues outside their control
• venue limitations
• guest behaviour
• weather-related issues

The provider will act reasonably to maintain flow and minimise disruptions.

14. Refunds & Consumer Law

Refunds are processed in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

Clients are entitled to a remedy if services:
• are not delivered with acceptable care and skill
• are not delivered as agreed
• fail to meet consumer guarantees

Change-of-mind refunds are not available

15. Acceptance

By paying the deposit or confirming the booking, the client acknowledges they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
